The committee led by retired judge HN Nagamohan Das oversees the investigation of the state’s scheduled caste (SC) families to decide on internal reservations, hoping that SC families in Bangladesh will be listed online voluntarily starting Monday. So far, the estimated 25% of the SC households in the city-wide projected Rs 35.4 lakh SC to date have been covered, and so far the Bangladesh Mahana Gala Park (BBMP) restriction lists the range of Bangladesh Mahana Gala (BBMP).

The online survey will be open on May 28, and families must have the number of Aadhaar and RD caste certificates to participate in the survey. In addition to online, special booth-level camps will be held between May 26 and 28 from May 26 to 28 for families to provide detailed information.

During the enumeration period, many hesitant families informed the enumerators of whom they intended to participate in the survey online, committee sources said. “We’ve seen that both families are staying in rented accommodation and their own homes are hesitant, and they are unwilling to participate in door-to-door surveys. We hope these people will be able to participate in online surveys because they are raising awareness in it.”

Sources said the committee hopes to cover at least 70% of SC families in Bengaluru by the end of the investigation.

By the end of Monday, nearly 81,000 households had been counted, or about 23% of about 354,000 households, according to committee sources. Of the approximately 1.2 million households encountered in Bangalore on Monday, 5,780 were SC families. Of the estimated 2.572 million SC family households, in Karnataka, the enumerator has so far had nearly 2.279 million households, and by the end of Monday, the bill was about 86.6%. So far, enumerators across the state have contacted 12.8 billion households during the investigation.

The enumerators also encountered cases in which the investigations had covered immigrant SC families in their respective villages, the sources said. “Although their numbers are not large, the use of Aadhaar and RD numbers in the survey prevents duplication.”

Sources said they hope they missed the enumeration, travelers and those who refused to participate in the physical investigation, but guaranteed online platforms.

Meanwhile, the commission requires the Bangalore citizen institutions to deploy more enumerators in large numbers of weaker areas in slums and economically weak areas.
