Company pays 10% mobilization advance payment for STP network

Kozhikode Corporation Council approved the revised annual project plan for fiscal year 2025-26 on May 17 (May 17), combining the spillover project of Rs 42 crore for the previous fiscal year. The committee earlier approved the annual project plan for April, worth Rs 24,666 crore. The overflow project has now been added before the Regional Planning Commission approval.

Although the revised plan passed without much discussion, some MPs pointed out several items that were not missed and were then added. Opposition leader KC Shobhita pointed out that it is necessary to reserve funds for small projects, such as the pharmacy’s name committee, and cover the slabs of the drainage ditch. She also stressed the urgency of completing certain tasks before the monsoon began, including the removal of heritage waste from Njeliyanparamba. Mayor Beana Philip chaired the meeting.

The Council also approved a 10% mobilization request from NASIT Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd. is related to the proposed sewage treatment plant (STP) project.

The company is responsible for the network of 15 MLD STP projects implemented under AMRUT 2.0. NASIT INFRA previously worked on STP networking at Kothi and Avikkal Thodu, and then merged and relocated the projects to West Hill. The company noted that it has been four years since the initial work began, with costs significantly increasing during this period. It noted that progress is needed to mobilize progress to procure materials, tools and hire workers, as well as to establish temporary offices, storage facilities and other basic infrastructure. The company has agreed to provide bank guarantees that can pay advance payments. The AMRUT Core Committee has approved the request before forwarding the request to the Company Committee.
