Congress asks KTR if KCR pushes Telangana to Rs 8 billion in debt

Bhongir MP and Congress leader Chamala Kiran Reddy at a press conference in Hyderabad on Monday (21 April 2025).
Bhongir MP and Congress leader Chamala Kiran Reddy asked Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) to explain BRS Chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao is to remember whether it should be remembered to push the remaining Telangana toward Rs 8 crore debt or to build the Kaleshwaram Project, which made up for the Kaleshwaram Project in three years.
Mr Reddy is responding to comments from BRS work chairman KT Rama Rao that former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will be remembered in the IT field, while Arogyasri’s YS Rajashekhara Reddy and current Chief Minister Revanth Reddy have nothing.
The MP said at a press conference here that unfortunately, KCR would be remembered for pushing Telangana into the Rs 8 billion debt trap and wasted the Rs 10,000 Kaleshwaram project. He believes KCR and his family are remembered for “robbing” Telangana.
“That’s why KCR should come back?” Mr. Reddy’s comment to KTR, and Telangana is waiting for KCR’s return. He claimed that people rejected BRS twice when people realized their government errors. Only KCR’s family is satisfied with the BRS rules.
He wondered why the BRS celebrated its existence for 25 years and asked for clarification whether it was BRS or TRS that existed. He claimed that the tens of millions earned by illegal means would be spent at the meeting on April 27.
Members of Congress questioned the BRS’s right to organize Jubilee Celebration after deleting Telangana from the name and psychology of their party. He said the BRS should at least use the occasion to apologize to people for “robbing” the country.
