Vijayawada: In a tragic case, a four-year-old boy died when he attacked him on Sunday night at Swarna Bharathi Nagar in Gontur.
According to police and municipal authorities, the boy played near his home and ate cookies when a stray dog attacked him. They bit him around their neck and cut off his jugular vein, causing severe bleeding.
His parents rushed to rescue him as he screamed in pain. They transferred him to a government hospital where doctors told parents that their son was dead.
Police booked a case and the investigation was underway.
City Minister P. Narayana expressed deep grief over the boy’s death. Later, Municipal Commissioner Srinivasulu visited the parents of the deceased and comforted them and secured all the help of the government.
