Congressional government committed to welfare: Bati

Warangal: Despite financial constraints, the Congressional administration is successfully implementing benefits programs worth tens of millions without burdening the public and will soon launch several new initiatives. He held a public meeting on Tuesday at Lakshmi Narasimhapuram, Yellandu constituency in the Mahabubabad district.
He questioned why the former BRS government has really cared about the people for decades, and has failed to introduce similar welfare programs during its ten years in power. “They plundered public wealth and had no interest in plans like the ones Congress has implemented for various parts of society today,” he claimed.
Batty recalls his term in Congress, saying tribal farmers had obtained land rights under the Forest Rights Act, but when they tried to cultivate the land, the BRS government attacked them. He recalled: “Tribal women were tied to trees and beaten.”
To restore confidence among tribal farmers, the Congress government will launch the Indira Solar Giri water development program in Chenchu colony in Achampet, Nagar Karnur region on May 18. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will open a Rs 12.5 crore project that will provide solar pumps, sprinkler systems and free saplings such as avocado and oil palm for every tribe farmers.
Bati said that when Sonia Gandhi realizes Telangana’s long-standing dream, people want a better future. “But the BRS government turned a surplus country into a debt with a liability of Rs 7 billion, failing to deliver on its promise,” he said.
He further said that despite borrowing Rs 7 billion, the KCR-led government did not establish any major industry or irrigation projects comparable to Nagarjuna Sagar or SRSP, but instead drove the state into a financial crisis by misusing public funds.
He asserted that under Revanth Reddy, the entire cabinet worked tirelessly for the state’s progress. “We will be doing large-scale Indiramma homes in tribal areas, and the KCR government has not even approved a double-bedroom home for 10 years,” he said.
Barty also stressed that the Congressional government conducted a recruitment inspection in just one and a half years and filled 57,000 government jobs, with another 30,000 vacancies about to be filled. He noted: “The BRS regime cannot even take a Group 1 exam for a decade.”
To support 500,000 unemployed youths, the Congress government launched Rajiv Yuva Vikasam’s self-employed program with a spending of 9,000 crore. The sanctions letter will be issued on June 2 on Telangana Group Day. “KCR never cared about the unemployed during his 10-year term,” he claimed.
Despite the financial difficulties, the Congress government spent Rs 1.3 crore, providing six kilograms of quality rice to 9 million families a month and abandoning farm loans of up to Rs 2.2 lakh. He added: “BRS government, by contrast, was unable to even meet its promise to exempt Rs 1 lakh farm loans.”
