Congress’s intentions to Modi’s administration are “suspicious” as BJP leaders oppose joining Gaurav Gogoi, Naseer Hussain in counter-terrorism delegation

Party leaders were skeptical of the government’s intentions as some BJP leaders opposed the inclusion of MPs Gaurav Gogoi and Syed Naseer Hussain in their delegations proposed to visit Gaza, Congress sources said on Saturday.
After Congress forwarded four names for the delegation, problems arose, but the BJP’s objection specifically targeted Gogoi and Hussain, raising red flags within the opposition party.
In related developments, Salman Khurshid, a senior member of Congress function, rejected an earlier government proposal to become part of a proposed delegation. Sources did not elaborate on Kurshid’s reasons, but said political signals from the ruling party led to uneasiness in the congressional circle.
