BRS SLAMS REVANTH frightens new irrigation engineer

Hyderabad: On Wednesday, the BRS alleged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy scared recruits to the irrigation department, saying the National Dam Safety Agency (NDSA) and vigilance reports about Kaleshwaram Project Barrages called for “hanging” irrigation engineers involved in the construction of the project.
In a statement, BRS senior leader and former irrigation minister T Harish Rao said Revanth Reddy’s comments at the event handed over the appointment order to assistant engineers and technicians, aiming to terrorize recruits.
“Revanth did not say good things to encourage them, but instead tried to cause fear in them. Is the NDSA and the Ministry of Vigilance calling for the hang of officials? Is this a democratic or authoritarian government? Such an ignorant person would be hard to find anywhere in the world. Revanth is not an engineer or irrigation expert.
He also declined Revanth Reddy’s comment that the Kaleshwaram project did not provide any irrigation. “In the white paper released at the conference, the Congress government acknowledged that the project irrigated 2 million acres of land in all areas that were stably irrigated. It was the BRS government that completed the 12km SLBC tunnel and spent Rs 3,900 crore while lying on it.
