Vijayawada: Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha urged people throughout Andhra Pradesh to hold public meetings held by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Amalawati on May 2, where he will restart capital reconstruction efforts.
During a review meeting held by the TD office of Nidamanur in the NTR district, Anitha said the event is expected to exceed 500,000 people. She criticized the former YSRC government for delaying Amaravati, which she said was considered a world-class capital.
She believes the NDA government has resumed the project and expressed her confidence that Amaravati will complete it within two years under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
