Everyone engages in activities of life; a continuous stunt to achieve some success. “That’s your Katabu,” said artist Gurmeet Marwah. As Gurmeet said, the show delved into it Katabu, A Hindi word that means behavior, behavior or commitment, as it is played in everyday life.
Gurmeet’s artistic exploration is driven by this idea or conception of human nature, in which every behavior is more visible than it is apparent.
“Everyone is involved Katabuhopefully get something. Then we strive to balance and maintain it. We’ve been in that loop all the time. ” he said.
Gurmeet says his work is an exploration of the concept and is consistent with his belief that an idea should not be limited to a single dimension, but also maintain minimalism.

“When I think of an idea, I want to explore the possibilities of it. I don’t understand the points that limit it. Painting is the simplest form of expression, but I like to go beyond it,” Gurmeet said. He explains how he always describes a concept from different angles and angles.
Animals often feature in Gurmeet’s works – goats, donkeys, monkeys, owls and frogs – paintings and woodcuts. “The local language in the conversation inspired me to use animals as my subject. For example, such as Garda (Donkey) and Bakra (Goats) are usually part of a casual conversation, so I started using them at work. This is not symbolic; it is just the language I speak and the language I grew up with. “The Delhi artist said.
Speaking about how some of his recent works portray humanoid figures, Gulmet said it was a symbol of the subject he wanted to propose, and the description happened by chance. “This is the first time I have used human characters in art. It’s not conscious, but there are concepts that require such a protagonist and are therefore brought in.”
Unlike Gurmeet’s work, the simplicity he presents is important to him, without complexity. In this exhibition, Gurmeet presents works of art built on everyday experiences, middle-class growth, hierarchy and social structure.

“I come from a middle-class family and live a normal life in the subway. Many things affect our lives, they can be personal, social or political. Everyone has opinions or opinions on different topics and they choose to express them in their own way.I do it in languages I know, and it’s visual art. If I were a poet, I would write poetry. ”
He said describing the title choice of his work, which he said was a way to connect with the audience. “It’s a way to guide the audience without overloading the audience with information.”
His artwork usually has a subtle, almost monochromatic background that brings the focus to a central object or number with information.
“I feel the work of an artist is to simplify things. Art is not about confusing the audience. I want the audience to look directly at the subject and understand what I think.”
