CSK Legend MS Dhoni breaks silence when IPL retires, fixes with rumors in the latest podcast

Dhoni faced retirement rumors at the age of 43, but due to his recent decline in performance, especially when it comes to batting, many believe this season may be his last as a player in CSK.
speculations about Dhoni retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL) have been rampant since the match between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals. Dhoni faced retirement rumors at the age of 43, but due to his recent decline in performance, especially when it comes to batting, many believe this season may be his last as a player in CSK.
In a podcast interview with Raj Shamani, Dhoni talked about the rumors and clarified his position. He said he has not decided to continue his career and will determine his next year plan for the next 10 months after the end of the 18th IPL in May.
He said on Raj Shamani’s podcast: “I’m still playing in the IPL and a year. I’m 43 years old and by the end of this IPL season, I’m going to be 44 in July. So I have 10 months to decide whether I want to play for another year, not what I decided; it’s my body, whether you can play or not.”
Since the start of the IPL 2025 season, Dhoni has marveled everyone with his wicket skills and impressive fitness. His mind is as sharp as ever, and his reflections are still important. But it was his batting that was a struggle.
Even though Dhoni has only played once in four games this season, he hasn’t managed to finish any situation in the treble yet.
In the match against the Delhi Capitals, Doni was able to call 30 balls as the Super Kings faced a difficult 50 innings defeat. Since CSK can only win one victory in the first four games, there will be a lot of changes if the team wants to get a place in the top four of the season.
