A 38-year-old software engineer allegedly ended his life in Ganigarahalli, Bangalore, on April 5, allegedly due to family problems.
The deceased Prashanth Nair is from Kerala. He has lived in Bangalore for a long time. He has been married for 12 years and the couple has a daughter. Recently, the couple separated, and the wife and their daughter lived in another house. Police said it was not clear whether the couple had divorced.
A police official said: “Prashanth’s father called him on April 5 but received no response. He called several times. He received no response and went to the apartment and found him dead. He called the police immediately and filed a complaint.”
Soladevanahalli police visited the apartment, registered a case, sent the body to an autopsy, and handed it over to the family. Police have not yet determined the exact reason for his extreme measures.
