This incredible victory only marked the second time the Delhi capital has successfully chased the goal of more than 200 runs in IPL history. Their best chase before was in 2017, when they were known as Delhi’s suicide squad, successfully chasing the lions of Gujarat 209 times.
Earlier, LSG scored 209/8 in 20 games, with outstanding performances from Nicholas Pooran (75) and Mitchell Marsh (72). However, the highly anticipated player Rishabh Pant bought his first match for Rs 270 crore as he faced only six goals for his LSG debut.
The Delhi Capitals’ outstanding performance in this game highlights their perseverance and talent under pressure, laying a solid foundation for the rest of the IPL season.
