Dairy mothers’ milk prices are up to Rs 2 per litre for effective Wednesday (April 30, 2025), partially offsetting the rising input costs.
A company official said Tuesday that the price revision will take effect from April 30, 2025.
“This price revision is necessary to address the sharp rise in procurement costs, which has increased by Rs 4-5 per liter in the past few months,” dairy officials said.
The official said the increase in procurement prices was driven primarily by early attacks in summer and heatwave conditions.
Dairy breast milk sells about 3.5 million liters of milk per day in the Delhi NCR market through its own store, general trading and e-commerce platforms.
“We remain committed to ensuring the continuous supply of quality milk to consumers while supporting the livelihoods of our farmers,” he said.
The official said the revision represents only a partial passage of cost increase, with the aim of serving the interests of farmers and consumers fairly.
In Delhi-NCR, the price of toned milk (large sales) has risen to Rs 56 per liter.
The price of all butter milk (small bags) is Rs 69 per litre, while Rs 68 per litre.
The tax rate for toner milk (bags) has been raised from Rs 56 per litre to Rs 57, while the price for two-tone milk is Rs 51 and Rs 49 per litre.
The price of milk has risen from Rs 57 per liter to Rs 59 per liter.
