JD Vance’s Taj Mahal visits: US Vice President arrives at Agra; cm yogi extends warm welcome

U.S. Vice President JD Vance arrived in Agra on Wednesday (April 23, 2025) with his family and amid security tensions in visiting the iconic Taj Mahal. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended a warm welcome to the Vice President of Technical Airport of Agra Air Force Station.

“As Vice President Vance’s special plane landed at 9:15 a.m., Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath aroused a heartfelt welcome, sending traditional Indian hospitality to Flowers and his family,” a statement from the UP administration said. U.S. Vice President JD Vance headed straight to the iconic Taj Mahal. As the convoy crossed the city, elementary school students waved Indian and American flags on the streets, cheerfully welcoming the nobles and their families.

On the Agra road, the flags of India and the United States, as well as the colorful Rangolis, intricate sand artworks and eye-catching ornaments all exudes the key roundabout, creating a festive atmosphere. The visual grandeur along the entire route adds visual grandeur.

The government made careful security arrangements during its visit and extended 12 kilometers from the airport to the Taj Mahal through Shilpgram. The U.S. security agency was stationed in Agra for three days, and the entire route was declared a zero-flow zone during the operation of the Vice President’s convoy.
