A man came to LinkedIn with a post sharing the sad situation of the scholar. Speaking of his friend, Rehan Akhtar said he had cleared competitive exams like Jee and Gate, which is now being recognized by IIT Delhi after passing a PhD interview, but his allowance is only Rs 35,000.
Akhtar questioned the system of rewarding credibility, “Why does our system reward mediocrity with money and rewarding naked survival?”. Social media users further described his friend’s credibility and compared it with a less credible candidate, saying that even after his friend conducted cutting-edge research on artificial intelligence (AI), he even taught undergraduates, reviewed hundreds of research papers, and even published dozens of papers, and could not even pay rent and rent and raise families.
