“EEE Project” solution for the University of Hyderabad land

After a week of bickering over the use of 400 acres of Kancha Gachibowli government land between students and the authorities, the Telangana government is proposing a new idea to best utilize the entire 2,000 acres of land, including the University of Hyderabad, which includes the University of Hyderabad, to become an environmental, education and employment hub.
It plans to transform the entire region into a tripartite hub that, in a win-win situation, aims to use it for employment, education and the environment, known as the EEE Project. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, proposed the proposal, claimed that this would enhance Hyderabad’s status as a global educational destination that is environmentally sensitive and employment-oriented.
At the heart of the EEE project is the establishment of the proposed Indian Institute of Management (IIM) on the UOH campus and the plan to attract foreign universities to create an “International Education Corridor”. The government is confident of obtaining Telangana’s IIM, which was promised in the AP restructuring bill. The Revanth Reddy government is taking the case seriously and once it nods, it may plan to build the same thing on the vast unused land of UOH.
The central government’s new policy is to attract campuses of top universities such as Harvard, Yale or Stanford, and recently a trip to the American team Revanth Reddy, which kicked off the discussion. It is full of confidence and at least one of the discussions translates into reality.
To counter criticism of environmental neglect, the new plan proposes the development of a huge ecological park spanning a thousand acres, touted as the largest in India. The park will strike a balance between urbanization and green spaces, which include biodiversity areas and sustainable infrastructure. This means it will utilize certain parts of UOH land as requested by environmentalists.
Meanwhile, the proposal pushes the 400-acre Kancha Gachibowli website dedicated to a job center, which is expected to generate “hundreds of thousands of jobs” through the IT industry and startups. The government emphasizes economic growth, especially for young people.
Officials believe that the integrated approach of the EEE program combines education, employment and environmental protection to legally utilize government-owned land for a wider public benefit. “Eco-parks and job creation programs reflect our commitment to the environment and economy,” an official revealed. The proposal is one of many proposals made by the Chief Minister.
The proposal also recognises the criticism of students, who call it a “green” strategy to legalize land acquisitions. Critics will accuse the government of repurposing public education lands under other purposes of the new plan. However, the proposal insists that the project is aligned with the idea of “overall development”, and that international quality education institutions, employment generation and green environment will coexist.
