Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru Development Minister DK Shivakumar said the government called for decorative lighting on the city’s metro pillars and major heritage buildings under the Bangalore brand initiative.
He talked about a permanent facility that illuminated the ceremony of Vidhana Soudha on Sunday.
“We have identified 40 places in the city where all government assets can be placed in decorative lighting. The tender has been called,” he said.
He also said that the tender to replace all existing street lights with LED lights failed and a new tender would be issued soon.
