Deeply disappointed with PM’s speech: Congress

New Delhi: Congress said on Monday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was “deeply disappointed” in his speech Monday night because he did not answer many questions about Operation Sindor and U.S. President Donald Trump, and the country is waiting for the country.

The Congress reiterated that the sudden ceasefire has shocked and surprising all over the country, which was also announced by the US president.

“The government has lost its moral courage and moral authority,” Senior Party leader and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said in a press conference today at the AICC office in the national capital.

Gehlot observed the disconcerting and dangerous remarks of the U.S. president, who strongly opposed his proposal to mediate the resolution of Kashmir. He asked if Trump was making these remarks by himself or if he had the consent of the Indian government. He also pointed out that Mr. Trump has begun to equate India with Pakistan.

Mr. Gallot observed that the United States had been trying to press India and pointed out the threat of India by deploying its Seventh Navy fleet in the Gulf of Bengal during the 1971 war. He noted that despite this, then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi continued to move forward, dividing Pakistan into two parts, except for forcing 93,000 Pakistani soldiers to surrender.

Asserting that the Prime Minister needs to explain and clarify to the state when it is smooth and our defense force prevails, Pakistani forces bite the dust and suddenly something happens to spontaneously declare a ceasefire. He observed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to solve the problem of terrorism once and for all.

Mr. Gallott strongly opposed Mr. Trump’s speech before the Prime Minister’s speech to the country and said “the United States threatens both countries in case they do not need a ceasefire, trade will be stopped”.
Congressional leaders asserted that the prime minister should respond and clarify the U.S. president’s statement. He said: “The silence of our administration has further incited Mr. Trump, who is making statements to each other to engage himself in the Kashmir issue, which is very dangerous. He made it clear that there is no third-party mediation, or even no third-party mediation from the United Nations, which is acceptable.

Mr. Gaehte observed a huge opportunity to completely remove Pakistan’s terrorist infrastructure and said he did not have to worry that Pakistan would not resort to terrorism like Pahalgam and Pulwama did.

Congress leaders insist that if a ceasefire must be reached, it should be initiated at the level of the prime minister or minister of external affairs, not by a third party. He said there should be specific assurances to ensure that in the future, Pakistan and its military will not allow terrorist incidents against India.

Mr. Modi’s remarks were “terror, conversation, blood and water cannot be lingered”, Gallott said, “The Prime Minister is known for such statements, but what is actually important is whether the big things he said last night will be implemented in the future.”

Senior Congress leaders reiterated the party’s need for a party-wide meeting and a special session of parliament to address various concerns among citizens. Mr. Grott also recalled the 1971 war, saying that the United States also put pressure on India at that time. “But we never surrendered and divided Pakistan into two parts. Even during the Shimla Agreement, we did not let any other country between us come between us.”
