Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta spoke on Tuesday about parents’ concerns about alleged harassment in certain schools. Speaking to ANI, Gupta said: “Parents from various schools have been meeting with me to share their dissatisfaction. No school has the right to harass parents or children, threaten evictions or arbitrarily increase costs. There are strict rules and laws, and compliance is mandatory.” She further warned that schools find violations of these regulations will face consequences.
“We have issued notices to all schools that have received complaints,” Gupta added, highlighting the state’s commitment to protecting students and parents.
Earlier today, the Delhi Chief Minister spoke about a complaint in a public dialogue program about Queen’s School in Model Town, in a post published on X, where parents allegedly charged improper fees and evictions of children.

The CM noted that action was taken immediately and directed officials to investigate and take strict measures.
CM highlighted the “zero tolerance” policy against injustice, exploitation or violations and highlighted the Delhi government’s commitment to transparency, equal opportunity and children’s right to education.
Gupta wrote in her X post: “Today, in the open dialogue program, cases related to Queen Mary’s School, the model town emerged, and the parents of children filed complaints about false charges and complaints about children’s evictions. A zero-tolerance policy is adopted for any form of injustice, exploitation or irregularity – our determination is obvious.
