Delhi master plan 2041 is about to be implemented, with 48 urbanized villages: Minister

Public Works Minister Parvesh Verma said on Saturday that Delhi’s master plan for 2041 will be implemented as soon as possible, and 48 villages in the national capital will be urbanized. The minister also announced that the first property registry belonging to the Lal Dora category will be completely free. The move is expected to resolve long-listed property disputes and enable people to obtain legal ownership documents without financial burdens.

A statement from the Velma office said the minister made remarks during his visit to the village of Doratpur in southwest of Delhi.

“The long-awaited Master Plan 2041 is in its final stage and will be implemented soon. Our goal is not only to develop policies, but to implement them transparently with responsibility,” Verma told reporters.
He added: “The master plan for 2041 will change the face of Delhi villages and provide the rural population with facilities comparable to urban areas.”

The minister said that under the ambitious plan, about 48 villages in Delhi will be urbanized, marking a historic transformation in the capital’s development strategy.

He said urbanization will not only bring infrastructure growth to these areas, but it can also provide basic urban facilities such as paving roads, proper drainage systems, reliable water supply, street lighting, schools and medical facilities.
