Delhi Minister Manjinder Sirsa lashes out at Dhruv Rathee on Sikh history video; DSGMC document complaint

SGPC and SAD demanded that the video be deleted immediately, including an image of Guru Gobind Singh generated by AI and his four sons, known as “Sahibzadas”. They also seek the strictest actions the government has taken on this issue.
In response to the video, Sirsa said in an article on X: “I strongly condemn Dhruv Rathee’s recent videos not only have flaws, but also have blatant disrespect for Sikh history and emotions.”
“Showing Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s crying as a child was an insult to the Sikh spirit, which represents fearlessness, resilience and Chardi Kala.”
The Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) of Delhi has filed a complaint with cybercrime cells, urging authorities to take action against Rathee and review its YouTube account.
DSGMC President Harmeet Singh Kalka said the video not only distorts the facts about the difficulty of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and the legacy of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji, but also features AI-generated Sikh Gurus visuals, which are strictly revealed in Sikhism. “This unauthorized portrayal is a serious violation of Sikh religious principles, showing a blatant disregard for our spiritual values. In the historical storytelling statistics, half of the authenticity of the speech misleads the public and offends the millions of views,” the DSGMC said in the complaint.
The committee said Rathee’s influential YouTube channel has more than 10 million followers, with the potential to spread misinformation widely and urged law enforcement agencies to do everything they can to deal with the matter.
