Janas and prayers, gathering to celebrate 2624th Mahavir Jayanti

Hyderabad: On Thursday, thousands of Janas crowded the temples to celebrate the 2624th anniversary of Bhagwan Mahavir’s birth. The Flower Wall Shrine hosts traditional Shakrastav Abhishek rituals, which gather on the exhibition grounds in a colorful parade.
Devotees reportedly celebrated Jain Flags there in Begum Bazaar, Karwan, Feelkhana, Pan Bazaar, Sultan Bazaar and Old City. A 500-time bike rally was led by young men and women wearing vibrant Bandani turbans – which began at the Diamond Point and passed through the bell tower, Patny, Tank Takeaway, Freedom, Basheerbagh and Moazzamjahi markets before reaching the main areas.
Organizers from Sri Jain Seva Sangh have estimated to have more than 20,000 participants on the exhibition grounds, echoing the spiritual Bhajans. Jain monks including Acharya Vijay Abhaysan Suresh Ji, Sri Siddharth Muni JI and Sri Sulochana Ji preached on Mahavir’s teachings on Ahimsa and the truth. The minister and local lawmakers attended the meeting to pay tribute to the community.
“Today’s gathering size reflects the unity of our community and our commitment to the message of peace in Mahavir,” said Yogesh Jain, president of Sri Jain Seva Sangh.
