Delhi police impose traffic restrictions on Arun Jatli Stadium

New Delhi: Delhi police released traffic consultation ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between the Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals on Monday, which is scheduled to be held at the Arun Jatli Stadium on Tuesday.
According to the consultation, the area expects traffic congestion in the area to be expected to be in the area due to the large number of viewers lagging behind. The competition is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
During this time, vehicle movement will be limited to Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg and Asaf Ali Road. The consultation reads that no heavy vehicles or buses are allowed from Daryaganj to Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, from Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road.
Commuters have been advised to avoid using Rajghat to Kamla Market in JLN MARG, Turkman Gate to Kamla Market in Delhi Gate in Asaf Ali Road, and an extension from Delhi Gate to Ramcharan Aggarwal Chowk on BSZ MARG.
Entry into the stadium can be allowed through designated gates on Bahadurshah Zafar Marg and JLN Marg and parking is only possible with vehicles with valid tags.
“Rajghat Power House Road, Mata Sundari Road and Velodrome Road will offer free parking and park riding options, starting two hours before the race begins, the shuttle runs to the stadium and continues to the end of the race,” said Rajghat Power House Road, Mata Sundari Road and Velodrome Road.
It further added that viewers using app-based taxis were asked to use Ring Road’s service lanes between the IP overpass and Rajghat Crossing and Rajghat Medical College and Rajghat Chowk.
