Delhi weather: moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms relieves the heat

In the evening, a strong sandstorm swept across the city, accompanied by clouds. Visual effects from Delhi, Noida and Ghazabad show a reduced field of view before thunder.
Areas such as Kartavya Path, Mathura Road, Delhi University, Civil Lines and Red Fort have received rainfall. Parts of the NCR, including Noida and Ghaziabad, also experienced gusts of wind-like showers.
The rain is at the time of witnessing warm and very warm nights in Delhi NCR. The lowest temperature was recorded at 25.9 degrees Celsius on Wednesday night, which so far is nearly six notches above normal levels.
In 2024 and 2023, the lowest temperatures in April did not touch 25 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the city’s air quality is recorded in the “poverty” category, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Commission (CPCB), as the mornings of the Air Quality Index (AQI) are 243.
