One person died and nine injured after the plane crash in Punjab Village

One person was killed and nine others were injured after an unidentified plane crashed in Aklian Kalan Village in Baping District, Punjab on the evening of May 6-7.

The deceased was identified as Govind of Charkhi Dadri of Haryana. He succumbed to injuries when he was taken to a local hospital, according to officials.

Witnesses said the incident happened around 1.30 a.m. when loud noises shocked residents and prompted many to rush to the suspicious crash site. “I heard the sound of around 1.30 at night. When people rushed to the scene, some people were injured and exploded.”

Local police and defense personnel then blocked the area. The nature of the crash or the origin of the aircraft has not been formally confirmed. Authorities at the regional level declined to comment on the incident.

The injured were initially taken to a local civil hospital. One victim was later referred to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Badinda said a government official who asked not to be named.

Although there are still few official details at this stage, an investigation may begin.
