A woman was found dead after being severely burned near a car fire.
The 43-year-old woman was found suffering severe burns near the pond on Saturday at a property near Salt Ash in New South Wales.
Emergency services responded to reports of car fires in the area north of Newcastle before discovering the woman.
Medical staff were unable to resurrect the 43-year-old and she was pronounced dead.
