Derogatory social media posts against YSRCP activists

Chittoor police have registered cases against YSR Congressional Party (YSRCP) activists, requiring them to issue defamatory posts against IT Nara Lokesh’s minister.
Police Chief VN Manikanta Chandolu said YSRCP activist Krishnaveni released a transformed picture of Mr. Lockesh on Wednesday and posted offensive content, which was harmful to the law and orders. Srinivasa Babu of Chittor filed a complaint against the social media post to police in my town, SP said.
Chittoor I Town Police registered a case under various parts of the BNS and took action. Sometimes, SPs require people to use social media platforms responsibly without hurting others’ emotions. “People should be responsible when using social media. A person should not be humiliated or made derogatory remarks towards others. Social media should not be used to spread hatred for any religion, caste or region. If they cross the line and resort to others and incite others, they are not spared,” said Mr. Manikanta Chandolu.
