Punjab police said on Thursday (April 17, 2025) that an Army Java was linked to a grenade throwing incident at the residence of Youtuber, headquartered in Jalandar.
They said Jawan Sukhcharan Singh, an army in Jamu and Kashmir, was arrested for allegedly giving online training to the defendants.
From the evening of March 15 to 16, a grenade was thrown at Youtuber Rozer Sandhu’s residence. However, the grenade did not explode.
Police said they informed the Army authorities that they played the role of Jia Wan in the matter.
They said a court in Jalandal sent the Army’s Java to remand the incident for five days and further investigations were underway.
After the incident, Pakistani gang member Shahzad Bhatti claimed responsibility for the attacks on YouTuber’s residence, allegedly using derogatory language to the Muslim community.
So far, seven people have been arrested for the incident.
Over the past four to five months, the explosion has occurred many incidents targeting police positions in Amritsar and Guldaspur. Last month, an explosion occurred outside a temple in Amritsar.
On April 8, a grenade exploded at the residence of BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia.
