Harish Kumar Gupta, Director General of Police (DGP), said that clean and green practices are necessary to live a healthy life.
The drive of “Swarnandhra – Swachh Andhra” was taken away at all police stations and stations across the state, DGP said.
He participated in the cleaning drives that were attended by officers from various wings at the Andhra Pradesh Police Headquarters in Mangalagiri on Saturday.
“Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will be the top priority of the “Cleaning and Green” program and India should rank first in cleanliness by 2047,” DGP said.
Mr Harish Kumar Gupta said: “The capital Amaravati is built at 30% green. It is required that the public make it a practice to plant seedlings and protect the environment.”
The DGP said about 18,298 files were kept in the recording room and scrap was removed from all wings of the police headquarters.
Following the call from the Chief Minister to participate in the “Swarnandhra -Swachhandhra” program on every third Saturday, Eluru District Police Supervisor K. Pratap Shiva Kishore, as well as other police stations (ASP -ADMINMINISPRIONTER (ASP -ADMINMINTIAMTIAN) N. Surya Chandra Chandra Rao, ASP Rao (ASP RASE) cleared the car and planted the saplings at the Eluru District Headquarters.
Cleaning plans are adopted in DCP, ACP Office and all police stations in NTR Police Station.
Police officers cleaned up the station house on this occasion, cleared the garbage and planted saplings.
