Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) held a special event on March 17 to begin the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. During the event, Virat Kohli addressed the team’s fans and made a heartfelt request.

The team’s senior captain introduced their new captain, Rajat Patidar, to fans at Chinnaswamy Stadium. Kohli encouraged fans to embrace the new leader enthusiastically, expressing his belief that Patidar will be for a long time.

After the release of Faf du Plessis, Rajat Patidar was appointed as the new captain of Royal Challenger Bangalore. Patidar joined the team in 2021 and was selected as other experienced players leading the team, such as Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Liam Livingstone and Krunal Pandya. As RCB ushers in a new era, Virat Kohli presents the commemorative plaque to Patidar at the team’s recent event.

At the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, the team is currently training to prepare for their first game, with fans having the opportunity to meet with the entire RCB team.
