Four people died in a road accident in Laiche District

Earlier on Friday, four people were killed on the spot when a pick-up vehicle on their trip hit a roadside culvert near the village of Amapur in Deodurga Taluk in Letcher district.

The deceased were identified as Nagaraj, Soma, Nagabhushan and Murali, all in the age group of 35-50. Anand, the driver of the injured vehicle, has been transferred to the Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Raichur.

According to police, all of them are from different villages in Hindu Mandal, Andhra Pradesh. They will buy sheep from Shahapur in the Yadgir district of Hinduism.

The accident occurred between 2:00 a.m. and 2.30 a.m.; it is suspected that the driver may be sleeping, causing the accident.

The case has been registered with the Gabuburger Police Department. Police transferred the body to the rim.
