Fact check
The virus graphics are fake. When PTI contacts the English channel where the logo exists on the graph, it denies creating any such posts. Furthermore, there are no other well-known news reports about PM Modi’s claim that he announced his political retirement before he was 75 years old. The DNA team also ran the graphics through Google Lens and found that multiple users had already shared the graphics with similar claims. However, we can’t find any reliable news reports that talk about Modi’s retirement from politics. However, we did find a report The Indian era Retirement debate about PM Modi.
In the report, Maharashtra BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule dismissed recent remarks by UBT MP Sanjay Raut, which will retire PM Modi. Check it out here. Bawankule also shared an article on X that read: “There is no rule or any decision that the respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji should leave politics after the age of 75. It is not stated in any formal BJP policy.”
