Dingdong Gully Prank: Virginia teenager mistakenly thought it was a break-in attempt at Tiktok Prank

Authorities say a high school student was shot dead by a homeowner in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and his property is facing the impression of an attempted break-in. However, a surviving friend of the deceased claimed that they were just recording a prank called “Dingdonggou” and planned to share the video later on tiktok, as cited by media outlets.

The incident happened last Saturday. The homeowner, Tyler Chase Butler, 27, is charged with killing Michael Bosworth Jr., 18, of Michael Bosworth Jr., according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened after Bosworth and two of his friends hit Butler's door as part of a prank.

The New York Post reported that the incident was initially reported as an attempted burglary in the early morning residential area. Butler reportedly told investigators that three teenagers were trying to break into his house. However, one of the two surviving boys insists that they are just trying to capture the prank in front of the camera.
