After Operation Sindor restored memories of a similar stage in Indian diplomatic history, delegations were sent around the world, when a continuous cross-party campaign was carried out to project the “one India” approach to important issues such as Kashmir and the status of the community. The background of previous efforts occurred in the early 1990s, with the demolition of Babri Masjid, violence in Kashmir and counter-insurgency in Punjab.
Worse, the frequent public riots formed the backdrop of Mani Ratnam’s famous film during the 1992-93 Mumbai riots Mumbai.

The community is equally challenging, with Pakistan under Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, under Benazir Bhutto and Bangladesh. Given regional conditions, both Benazir Bhutto and Khaleda Zia want to accept India. When Western powers and large international human rights supervisors turned human rights into a major diplomatic tool, regional and domestic situations quickly became diplomatic challenges to India. This is the first time human rights have been used as a major diplomatic initiative, as the Cold War world order obtained unique diplomatic letters.
In this case, both Pakistan and Bangladesh have emphasized the treatment of the Muslim minority in India and integrated the issue with other matters on their agenda. Bangladesh has caused controversy in Farak and believes that the barrage denies the human rights of the Bangladesh people. Pakistan wants to take place in Kashmir because of police operations in Kashmir, and more importantly, in Punjab, KPS Jill carried out anti-crisis operations in Punjab. This is the background of the United Nations International Conference on International Human Rights held in Vienna in June 1993.
Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao chose a delegation led by Finance Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Other members are Dr. Farooq Abdullah of High Commissioner of India, LM Singhvi, with the Permanent Representative of India to New York, Hamid Ansari, and Satish Chandra, the United Nations Representative in Geneva. The Pakistan delegation was led by the mother of Prime Minister Ms. Nusrat Bhutto, who launched a severe attack on India. Dr. Farooq Abdullah took some strategies that the late Foreign Secretary Jn Dixit described in his book as “Shock Treatment” My southern neighborhood.
Diplomatic War
After the narrative meeting, Mr. Ansari later became Vice President of India, said Dr. Singh arrived in Vienna and immediately called a meeting of team members in the hotel room and said he did not agree with the draft provided to him by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “This is a draft made by the MEA, and Dr. Singer thinks the statement is a bit defensive. He wants to be less defensive. In the end, our team impressed and thwarted the attempts of our neighbors,” Mr. Ansari said, reviewing the diplomatic battle. The June meeting provided a backdrop for the long-term human rights movement that India must face.
Next is the General Assembly meeting in New York in September, where external affairs minister Dinesh Singh will lead the delegation. However, he became ill and Foreign Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid was transferred to a trip to Latin America and sent to New York to lead an Indian delegation. The meeting became intense when the Pakistan delegation wanted to turn India in front of global communities. Pakistan failed to succeed in the first two attempts and he planned to submit a resolution at the Human Rights Commission in Geneva in March 1994. The idea is to first propose a resolution on Kashmir’s resolution at the UN International Human Rights Conference and then humiliate India by voting the resolution through a vote. Failure in the vote will conceal India’s diplomatic figure in the world.
Prime Minister PM Rao sent a delegation by former Foreign Minister and Parliamentary opposition leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee and a delegation to the HRC in Geneva. His foreign affairs MOS Salman Khurshid, Vajpayee foreign affairs adviser Brajesh Mishra, Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Hamid Ansari joined him.
Pakistan tried its best to vote, but the Indian team lobbying with Iran to prevent the vote, and eventually Iran’s influence over West Asian and North African countries had the upper hand, and Pakistan’s attempt to create diplomatic embarrassment for India was thwarted. During the meeting, a senior member of the Pakistan delegation came to Mr. Ansari and said: “We know we can’t take Kashmir.”
