Director Bhaskhar Maurya: “Muthayya” was born out of my fear

“I believe my films will find audiences even if it takes some time,” said Bhaskhar Maurya, who has directed and directed the Telugu movie. Muthayya. On his diploma in 2012-13, he tried to enter the Telugu cinema as a futile assistant director. Back at Wanaparthy, he was delighted by the emerging short film culture.

He learned from the knowledge he gained in film school that he began making short films. Bhaskhar also works with friends who work in independent films and learns screenwriter and script development for the next three years. “I didn’t pay enough attention to the writing process at the film school. When I took my own risk, I realized how important it was.”

When Bhaskhar uses Muthayyaeven those who like this story want to tweak it to make it more feasible. The actors were selected through auditions. We finished shooting in 15 days due to rehearsals and good coordination of the crew, and compared to the 25 days we planned,” Bhaskar said. Together with the sound engineer, he also ensured that the film reflects the authenticity of the area with its ambient sound.

After the movie is finished, the real test begins. Until then, digital platforms open to smaller movies began to change their acquisition model.
