DMHO orders to investigate premature infant death

Hyderabad: Dr. Venkateshwar Rao, Rangareddy Regional Medical and Health Officer (DMHO), ordered an investigation of ineligible nurses operating in emergencies, resulting in the death of Vijayalaxmi Hospital in Ibrahimpatnam Limits at Vijayalaxmi Hospital.

“The gynecologist is a qualified doctor, but she now faces allegations that she is unavailable. A detailed investigation will be conducted and the medical board will be informed of the incident. When the doctor is unavailable, she did not refer the case to another hospital or doctor. Accordingly, the hospital was occupied.

Dr. V. Anusha Reddy has been operating a 10-bed hospital for three years. She lives in Vanastalipuram, nearly 10 kilometers from the hospital, and allegedly diagnosed an emergency on the phone.

“Private doctors do not limit a certain distance from the workplace. However, government doctors need to keep distances of 10 to 12 kilometers,” the DMHO clarified.

The victim’s husband, Bhutti Ganesh, said that in the emergency, the doctor was unavailable and the unqualified nurse participated in the case. He believes that this is part of the doctor's pure negligence because she did not pay attention to her wife's complaints about bleeding and pain and demanded action against her. Police are also investigating the case.
