DMK will hold a general meeting in Madurai on June 1

The General Council Meeting of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) will be held in Madurai on June 1.

The resolution on this impact was adopted at the party's regional secretary meeting chaired by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President MK Stalin, and was held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at DMK headquarters Anna Arivalayam'.

Members are also determined to hold 1,244 meetings across the state to highlight the achievements of the DMK government over the past four years, with the theme: “The glorious four years have been praised by the state. Let it last for many years.”

Another resolution passed during the meeting condemned the BJP government’s abuse of institutions, including the law enforcement bureau and income tax authorities, against opposition members’ “revenge-killing politics.” It said the DMK will resolve the actions of the emergency room legally and bring the BJP's “abuse of power” to the People's Forum.

Another resolution pays tribute to Mr. Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin and other ministers as the DMK government enters its fifth year of its current term.

The meeting also adopted a resolution on condolences to victims of Pahalgam attack and victims of the death of Pope Francis.
