Social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija (commonly known as Rebel Kid) has finally opened up against her actions at the Sabrina Carpenter concert in Paris. On April 9, the content creator visited her YouTube channel to share her story, and footage of the event sparked widespread criticism a few weeks later.
The controversy broke out after the video showed Apoorva singing loudly during a March concert and using a flashlight. This situation further intensified after her appearance in India became lurking, and her speech was further strongly opposed. Apoorva explains what really happened in her latest video and solves the trolls that followed.
Apoorva revealed that she had traveled to Paris for a concert at the advice of an astrologer who suggested she get rid of her negative emotions online. Upon reaching the venue, she claimed there was a suspended phase where people sat on the stairs leaving enough open space near the seats. Seeing the empty place, she and her friends decided to stand up and dance.
“The concert started and no one stood in the area where I was sitting in my seat… there was a lot of empty space and I wanted to dance with my friends,” she recalled. “Then 45 minutes passed and no one stopped us, and there was no guarantee.”

Apoorva saw the virus clip she was seen using her phone’s flash, explaining that she needed to record two specific songs for her video blog. However, another attendee faced her. “The girl standing next to me, when I made the video, it was like ‘Off your flash’. I told them I needed a video on two songs. She started pushing me,” Apoorva said.
She added that in her video blog she had said she would hit the person but clarified that she never really did. “I was describing the incident in Hindi, she couldn’t understand. I’ve never hit anyone.”
Apoorva said she was at the festival in the French Alps when she realized the concert video was spreading. “I read the notice and I reacted, ‘Tomorrow will be selected by every newspaper and meme page.’ So, I suffered a full-blown panic attack,” she shared.
