Reasoning for the lack of transparency and the so-called shift in examinations, doctors have approached the Union Department of Health, seeking emergency intervention and amending the move to conduct this year’s National Qualification Enrollment Graduate Student (NEET-PG) exam.
The National Council on Medical Sciences (NBEMS) announced that it will conduct NEET PG 2025 in two shifts on June 15, 2025. Although the first shift is scheduled to take place from 9:00 AM to 12:30 pm, the second shift is scheduled to be from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm.

The Indian Medical Association Junior Doctor Network (IMA-JDN) said in a letter to the Ministry of Health doctors that the decision to hold NEET PG 2024 for double shifts was due to the lack of sufficient time to allocate the center and ensure safety protocols – “No such problem exists this year,” they said.
Although NBEM and the National Medical Council (NMC) proposed a normalization process, doctors also pointed to doctors last year after they pointed out that there were flaws in the process.
Ima-JDN said in reference to the PG Medical Entrance Examination held last year that in NEET PG 2024, there were allegations of differences between the two shifts of the exam. “The main problem with the shift model is the lack of transparency in the standardization process. Last year, it was widely observed that Shift 2 was significantly more difficult, resulting in differences in scores and relative rankings. This not only affected the performance of the candidates who deserved it, but also created a sense of uncertainty and derogatory feeling.”
Secretary of State of the IMA-JDN Standing Committee Deshmukh explained that the 20 million NEET-PG aspirants who may have encountered the same problems as last year are very worried.
“Although there were no logistical emergencies this year, NEET-PG 2025 was once again shifted twice. The lack of transparency in normalization, unequal levels of inequality between shifts and denial of access to keys and response tables and response tables have increased real attention to candidates and urged cortectition script script shift contract shift shift contact contact contact contact contact contact contact ship contact contact contact contact in Countect in Countation. The doctor added that the reasons for holding NEET-PG 2024 twice last year included the lack of adequate center allocation time and time to ensure safety protocols, especially when exams were rescheduled and participated in more than 200,000 doctors. “However, this year, there is no such logistical limitation or last-minute change, but the exam schedule is in two shifts – exacerbating the real focus of aspirants,” the doctor noted.
Some candidates who appeared in the second shift of the NEET PG 2024 exam questioned the normalization formula used by NBEM and further claimed that the board of directors had deceived them in the name of competitive exams. They pointed out that Shift 2 paper is more difficult compared to Shift 1 and further called the process of calculating scores for trademarks. These concerns are also raised in the Supreme Court, where aspiring people seek transparency in the NEET PG 2024 exam.
