Dramatic Moment Newark Mayor Ras Baraka arrested outside the ice rink in New Jersey

The mayor of Newark was arrested Friday at an ice detention facility in New Jersey.

U.S. National Attorney Alina Habba said Mayor Ras Baraka was detained for “invading and ignoring multiple warnings” to remove herself from the ice detention center.

The dramatic footage shows that before Baraka was arrested and escorted by police, crazy people scrambled to fight outside the facilities’ gates.

During the ordeal, officers were seen pushing protesters away.

Habba said after detention: “Newark Mayor Ras Baraka committed the trespass and ignored multiple warnings from the Homeland Security Investigation to remove himself from the Ice Detention Center in Newark, New Jersey, this afternoon.

“He is willing to ignore the law. That won’t stand in this state. He has been detained. No one is beyond the law. ”

Earlier this week, Baraka defiantly tried to enter a prison he believed was illegal housing immigrants to “release them” as the Trump administration continued rounding up illegal persons.

Baraka claims that the prison has a contract with the city and cannot live in it. A company spokesperson confirmed to Dailymail.com that the immigrants had been placed in the facility for a week.

‘Delaney Hall house is illegal foreigner. A spokesman told dailymail.com that this is not a family detention center, nor is it a house minor.

According to the New York Times, the owner of the building, Geo Group, does not receive a permit or a valid occupancy certificate, and can accommodate 1,000 immigrants per day.

The Times said a geographic group employee closed the front door on Monday and fire officials gave them three citations of violations.

“They keep us away from us through gates, fences and all other kinds of things, but we’re here every day and we’re going to get stuck in some way or another,” Baraka told The Times.

“We want them to abide by our rules and by our laws.”

Geo Group accepted an ICE 15-year contract in February to hold immigrants while awaiting deportation.

Delaney Hall, previously used as a prison, a midway house and immigration detention center, is located near Newark Airport, making it easy for immigrants to send immigrants back to their home country.

The city of Newark claims that the building has not been used for more than a year and has been renovated, and the city claims the occupancy certificate is invalid.

Geographic Group spokesman Tricia McLaughlin told The Times that Baraka “welcome to the facility as long as he follows security protocols like everyone else.”

“He has been refusing to do this, probably to work hard to bid for him for the governor,” the spokesman said.

Another spokesman, Christopher Ferreira, told The Times that Baraka’s action was “promotional stunts.”

He said this is “an unfortunate example of the political movements that protect the city and the open politicians in New Jersey to interfere with the federal government’s efforts to arrest, detain and expel dangerous criminal illegal foreigners under established federal laws.”
