Hyderabad: “We will take action by people” to remove trees and destroy the environment on 400 acres of Kancha Gachibowli land, Bhupender Yadav, the Minister of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, said Thursday.
Yadav said: “There was an unfortunate incident in Hyderabad. I don’t understand what the hatred of the trees is, and it takes lights to set up, go in with a lot of bulldozers at night and fall down 400 trees. There are photos of peacocks and deer in the area. This question was raised yesterday and these facts (Teleangana).
The Union Environment Minister answered a supplementary question in a question hour from Rajya Sabha of BRS MP V Ravidchandra, who said hundreds of trees were cut down and kancha Gachibowli was destroyed. He said he asked to save trees and wildlife in the area, and as he said, members of Congress could be heard oppose Ravicandra, saying the supplement had nothing to do with the original question the minister answered earlier. However, Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar said that if a question is related to the issue of the Ministry, then he would allow such supplements to be requested.
