“Catching a 88 crore methamphetamine tablet, arrested in Imphal and Guwahati districts, four members of the International Prund Cartel,” said the union’s interior minister Amit Shah in 2025 (March 16).
Mr Shaa also said that the haul of this drug proved an excellent performance of the investigation method from the beginning to the top and bottom and asserted that the Narendra Modi government’s crackdown on drugs would continue.
“There is no mercy on drug cartels. Accelerating the march of the Modi government, building drug-free Bharat, capturing a large number of methamphetamine tablets worth Rs 88 crore, four members of the International Drug Cartel were arrested in Imphal and Guwahati Zones.”
