Tourism, Culture and Photography Minister Kandula Durgesh said on Saturday that during the Rabi season in the East Godavari district, civil supplies companies have agreed to purchase 2.5 million tons of padi.
Mr. Durgesh started rice fields procurement on Saturday in Mortha Village, Nidadovalu Parliamentary Constituency.
Speaking to the farmers, Mr. Durgesh claimed that Minister of Civil Materials and Consumer Affairs Nadendla Manohar had agreed to purchase 2.5 million MT of Paddy in the East Godavari area.
“Mirles will have to use quality gunny bags. Farmers can book the slot machines for rice purchases by sharing their details on WhatsApp No. 73373-59375 as part of WhatsApp governance.”
The Minister promises to pay within 48 hours of procurement.
