Minister of Foreign Affairs (EAM) S. Jaishankar met with Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp in New Delhi on Monday (31 March 2025) and discussed the growing bilateral cooperation, including new possibilities in trade, investment, innovation and semiconductors.

Mr Jaishankar expressed his delight in meeting with Veldkamp, ​​highlighting the growing cooperation between India and the Netherlands among various sectors. “I’m happy to be with FM Caspar Veldkamp @ministerbz in the Netherlands tonight. According to the Indian Embassy in The Hague, India and the Netherlands established diplomatic relations in 1947. The two countries have 75 years of diplomatic ties in 2022, with India and the Netherlands regularly contacting at a high level. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulates the new Dutch government on taking office on July 2, 2024, led by Prime Minister Dick Schoof.
