The devastating fire passed through the Cornwall home, and several families lost all their property.

The fire spread rapidly in a row of houses in the suburbs of Launceston around the early hours of Sunday morning.

Everyone miraculously managed to escape after dozens of firefighters arrived at the scene to put out the roaring flames.

Both appliances from Launceston Community Fire Department were sent to the incident, and upon arrival a major emergency was announced and a call for backup.

The Delabole Community Fire Department and the Bodmin Community Fire Department were also mobilized.

“This is a major incident and the emergency response is huge,” Launceston Fire Department shared a statement on social media.

“This is a devastating result for residents who have lost all their property, but most importantly, their safety and interpretation,” the statement continued.

The Liskeard Community Fire Department and Holsworthy Fire Department engines also provide further assistance.

Other resources include ALP from Crownhill Fire Department and BA support from St Austell Community Fire Department, and Liskeard Community Fire Department’s water airline.

They asked for adult and children’s clothing to be put down at the New Market Hotel in Launceston.

The fire department said: “Families in this horror incident urgently need the following items: 5-year-old boy clothing, boy trainer adult 5 years old, girls clothing 8/9, women’s clothing 18 years old, women’s clothing 18 years old, men’s clothing is very small”.

“If you have any items you want to donate, please message our Facebook page and we will contact you about collecting/getting off.

“Let us come together as a community to support families who have lost everything”.

A CFRS spokesman also said: “Thanks to the Bude Community Fire Department for covering up Launceston and participating in other events while we were busy.”

The Padsto Community Fire Department was still on site that day to reduce and monitor hot spots.
