India did the right thing to the terrorists who punished Parker. Industry firmly lags behind the government: CII President

CII President Sanjiv Puri said India has made the right measures to punish Pakistani terrorists who killed innocent citizens, and the industry is firmly behind the government and is committed to ensuring that the country’s economic progress continues. Puri told PTI in an interview.
“What the government is doing is absolutely the right thing. This idea is indeed consistent with the idea that the government has been saying, “punishing those responsible for terrorism” and there is nothing to justify killing innocent citizens. Therefore, those responsible must be punished,” Puri, MD, also of ITC.
Puri responded to questions that industries like the government will be dealing with Pakistan this time, which has been supporting cross-border terrorism.

India and Pakistan reached an understanding on Saturday to stop all shooting and military operations on land, air and oceans, and after four days of fierce cross-border drone and missile strikes, which took effect immediately, putting the two countries on the brink of a total war.

Commenting on this development, Puri said: “CII welcomes the announcement of a ceasefire between India and Pakistan and commends the Indian government for its influential but measured diplomatic and security response to recent hostilities.” The Prime Minister did take a quick, decisive and responsible step to keep the country and its people in a constant and continuous manner within the terrorist sphere and in a strong message of terror. Operation Sindor, a nine terrorist targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, includes Bahawalpur, a stronghold in Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist costumes, in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack.

Pakistan’s armed forces then launched multiple attacks using drones and other ammunition along the western border, and Indian troops “effectively defeated” drones and other ammunition.

Pakistani forces also resorted to “numerous ceasefires” in the control lines of Jamu and Kashmir.

Puri condemned Pakistan’s actions and said: “It is sad that we have condemned us very strongly and praise our armed forces and indeed praise the government in the way we handle the situation as a whole, and the industry is firmly behind the government.”

He further stated: “India acts responsibly with very calibrated and targeted measures as responsible global citizens. National security is crucial and it is the basis for economic progress…”

“The government has taken the measurement and calibration steps,” Puri said, “If someone provoked or anyone attacked, the government will respond firmly. I think that’s what we want and we fully support that. It’s definitely the right thing to do.”

President CII further stated that adopting Pakistan’s system of demolishing its support for terrorists “is the most important issue that requires priority.”

“The (Indian) economy is resilient and businesses are committed to ensuring economic progress is maintained.”
