Ed joins Andhra Pradesh wine detector

Nellol: Savpali lawmaker Somieddy Chandramohan Reddy welcomed Ed’s entry to investigate the alcohol scam in Andhra Pradesh, who said in an article by X that he had already said that the scam was not limited to Rs 3.2 crore. It’s a huge scandal of over Rs 1 billion,” the leader said.

He further revealed that the scam also involved massive money laundering, even bigger than the infamous Bofors, 2G and Delhi liquor scams.

He added: “I warned on the 25th of last month that once the Enforcement Bureau (ed) intervenes, the whole fact will be revealed.”

As ED officially entered the investigation, he expressed his gratitude, saying: “Finally, thanks ED for his involvement.”

Meanwhile, Somieddy warned strict action during his visit to Satyanarayana Layout in Podalakur to prevent encroachment of public open spaces, where the 286 plots worthy of the spaces are threatened.

He directed officials to initiate plans for the border wall and assured locals that the park was developed according to public needs. Somieddy criticized developers for violating the norm by either not leaving the mandatory 10% open space or selling it later.

He revealed that a local Panchayat secretary was suspended for submitting conflicting reports on the land, and the court confirmed it was a public open space. He condemned attempts to create fake documents to rob land.

“Open spaces are crucial for schools, temples and children’s play areas. Officials and citizens must ensure they are protected,” he said.
