Two civil police officers (CPOs) were injured in the Karassery case near Mukkom, Kozhikode on Thursday in the alleged assault of a suspect. It is reported that officers were attacked by knife when they arrested the suspect at his home.
The injured officers – Sharu and Nofal – were taken to a private hospital in Mukham. After the suspected incident, the suspect was identified as Arshad.
Police said the two CPOs were injured in their hands. Another CPO escaped the narrow escape. The incident is under investigation.
