FromSoftware announced that Elden Ring Nightreign will be used for PlayStation, Xbox and PC users. The company previously organized a network test on January 10, 2025. Participants explored early, unfinished versions of the co-op game during the testing period.
What does Elden Ring Nightreign offer?
Elden Ring Nightreign is an independent cooperative game on the land in between. It has the same combat style as Elden Ring, but introduces new character abilities and special attacks. Unlike the open world format, each run lasts for several days. The available area shrinks every day until the boss is defeated. After failure, the player returns to the roundtable hub to recover and restart. Some unlocks are permanent, but each new attempt must be upgraded to the player again. Players can explore lime alone or in a trio.

Four characters have been confirmed so far:
Wylder: A hero who focuses on speed and attack.
Guardian: Strong character, with significant attacks and resistance.
Duchess: Light heroes using fast game mechanics.
Hermit: A mage who attacks with ranged magic.
No matter which character you choose, players will find the combat system familiar. New movement options such as vaults and gliding help players span faster speeds at Limveld. The game also allows teammates to recover from each other to prevent complete session losses.
