Elderly couple died in Alwal, cash and gold disappeared

Hyderabad: Unidentified person entered the house of an elderly couple, murdered them, and fled cash and gold in Suryanagar. Alwal inspector Rahul Dev identified the deceased as A, Kanakaiah, 70, Secutse Guard and his wife Rajamma, 60. The couple was cheered from Illendu in Kothagudem.

The murder was revealed after the couple's daughter Latha came to their place to inspect them. She immediately called 100 times and informed the police, who arrived at the scene with the Dog Team, Clue Team, Crime Team and CCS Medchal Police.

The couple has three children, two daughters and one son, both living in the same area. Latha, who also serves as a security guard, lives in the opposite driveway. Speech Deccan ChronicleLatha said the murder was for the purpose of obtaining it. “I found a gold chain and Rs 1 lakh cash missing in the house.”

“The couple suffered a head injury and we suspect they were hit by a stick. This seems to be the one known to the deceased,” said inspector Rahul Dev.

“We are sure it happened at night. In the morning, after their daughter issued an alarm, all we saw was the couple in blood,” said Slinivas, the couple's neighbor.

Kanakaiah and Rajamma would go to Latha's residence and return the next morning. “They recently collected cash from the village. We suspect they mentioned it to a neighbor who must have been a murder,” said Swathi, the granddaughter of the couple.

The case was registered and the body was transferred to the Gandhi Mortuary for post-mortem examination. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
